Ok I know it doesn't mean a whole lot, because labor can still be hours, days, weeks away... and I'm totally fine with that, I signed up for 40 weeks.
But I lost my MP today in one big swoop (not pink or red tinged at all, more yellow and green... like your vag sneezed is how i've been describing it lol) and I started crying I was SO happy and excited and it was one of those moments you finally feel like "omg, I'm having a baby." I literally wanted to text everyone in my phone book.
So what happened after you lost yours? Nothing... contractions that haven't put you into L&D... contractions that have you/ had you in L&D... I want to know.
Re: Mucous Plug? Nope, sorry, don't have one.
As someone whose daughter spent 9 weeks in the NICU after I went into labor and delivered at 30 weeks, trust me when I tell you that you want that little peanut to cook in there for as long as possible...don't consider it a let down, consider it your body behaving so you have a well done baby instead of a medium rare one.
Oh goodness, I definitely didn't mean that I'm excited she's coming early as in NOW! I definitely want her to cook a little longer. I'm no where near ready for her to be here anyways. My first baby and the showers aren't for another month so I'm good with her staying in there. I meant it in that I took it as a sign that she would come earlier than my due date. I hope she's in there for a while!
I lost mine a week ago.
I've been at 3 cm for a week too. And 70% effaced.
Nothing yet. I am about ready to do some jumping jacks though, as I'm measuring at 43 weeks and am ready to get this baby going!
AHH! I'd be ready too, i'm measuring two weeks behind and I'm already done with "uncomfy". I'm afraid to get my cervix checked, I don't want them to tell me I'm dilated and close to 100% effaced only to have to wait more weeks, it's such a build up/let down situation!
You actually WANTED LO to come out at 30 weeks? Wow.....
no! didnt want her coming at 30 weeks. I meant I was excited thinking that it was just another thing that happens before the baby comes, meaning I was one step closer. I don't want her here right now! Bad communication on my part.
Whew, glad to hear that, lol! You have NO IDEA how many moms-to-be I have seen on 3rd tri in the past 10 months (I lurk on tons of boards out of boredom, lol) that are "done" at 30 weeks or want their LO to come 5 or more weeks early because they are tired or dont want to gain the extra X pounds...makes us preemie mamas a tad snarky, lol.
Yeah and understandably so. I can't imagine going through something like that. I have had a wonderful pregnancy and want to keep it that way. She can stay in there late if she wants to! Just want her to be healthy
Nothing happened for me with my first baby. I lost my entire MP at 38 weeks, and I thought for sure I would go early. I ended up being induced 7 days after my due date because she wasn't coming.
