I've read that the estimated due date is based on a menstrual cycle of 28 days. Mine was typically 30-31 days which makes me wonder if my actual due date is a few days later than predicted.
Just curious how many others have had post-date babies with longer cycles?

I had regular cycles that averaged 28 days and I was induced at 41 weeks with my daughter.
I have read some things that suggest early ultrasound dating may have decreased the number of "postdates" babies, who actually just had their due date miscalculated. But you are talking about a difference of just 2-3 days dating error, which is within the margin of error for ultrasound dating anyway. Even ovulation charting has a margin of error of at least 1 day, so very few people ever know their due date down to the exact day.
I don't think you are truly post-dates until you hit 42 weeks anyway. A due date is just an estimate.
My cycle always ranges between 28-35 days or so. We used an OPK the month we got pregnant, I did cycle tracking prior to that, and we had an early ultrasound to date the pregnancy. Soooo...my date should have been pretty accurate, but by my estimate it would have been 2 days later than my provider dated it.
That said, I'm at 40w2d today and still pregnant. By either calculation, baby is still going to be at least a little past the 40w dot. Mind you, going over 40w doesn't mean going past term.
I had 28 day cycles before DS#1, my water broke at 41 weeks and he was born 41w1d.
This time I had 31 day cycles, got pregnant, miscarried, then got pregnant again without having a period... so I've got no idea how that will effect things.

Things to avoid during pregnancy: Eye contact with cats. Cats will suck the burgeoning life right out of you, using their infamous feline mind-powers. Avert your eyes, and move along.
FACT: 1 in 10 people are said to be a carrier of Listeria. Therefore you should avoid all shopping malls, grocery stores and busy street corners for the duration of your pregnancy. Or microwave anyone you contact until steaming, just to be safe.
