Would you call the Dr.?

DD has had a low fever (not higher than 99.6), has been congested with a CONSTANT (literally) runny nose, and a wet cough for a few days now.  She's eating and sleeping alright- not great, but not bad.  She's super cranky in the mornings.  Snot is mostly clear but I'm literally going through like 6 rags a day with all the wiping.  We've been giving her tylenol.

It's been 3-4 days and isnt getting better.

TIA :)

Re: Would you call the Dr.?

  • I wouldn't, but that's just me.  Sounds like a regular, run of the mill cold.  They can last weeks, so unless things change (like she spikes a fever or develops a nasty cough) I think you just hang tight and keep up with the humidifier, tylenol and warm baths.

    Good luck!

  • I would. I don't think it's serious but at least mention it to the nurse and see what she says. Couldn't hurt and may make you feel better.
