when everyone plans on putting the carseat in their vehicle? Do you wait until the last minute and on your way to the hospital or are you a planner who wants to have it in a few weeks before your EDD just in case LO comes early? I was thinking it would be nice to have it in early just in case I'm nowhere near home and have to go straight to the hospital, not sure how early though.It's funny to think though......I'd be the overly eager mom-to-be driving around with an empty car seat in the back with no baby yet, lol Big Smile

With DS we installed it around 36w. We will probably do the same this time.

I say earlier might be better only because you can find time to be sure it's properly installed. DS was a week early and I therefore missed my chance to get the seat inspected.

You could always take the seat off of the base so maybe make it look a little less over eager

With Drew we installed the carseat around 37 weeks. This time, I'm guessing we'll put it in when I go into labor, haha!

I will have the base installed at the end of Feb. Due March 17th. I'll leave the actual Car Seat in his room until closer to due date if not grab it and snap it on on the way to the hospital.

We're going to be taking it in soon to be inspected- then we'll just leave the base in and take the seat inside until LO is here. You should really take it in to be inspected (something like 80% of seats are improperly installed) before LO is here.

I put it in at 34 weeks, we had DD at 37 so I considered that 3 weeks early, plus it has helped DD understand that brother is almost here.

Probably about 36 weeks. We definitely aren't going to wait until we are on the way to the hospital. We want to get it inspected for safety.

With DS#1 we installed it a week or two before he was born. My husband installed it in the hospital parking lot while I was waiting to be discharged with babies #2 and #3. I actually installed it for this baby a few weeks ago. We are pretty good at installation at this point!
