Hi! I've been watching these posts for a while but have never written on here. My DH and I have narrowed down the 1st names to a few and Emma seems to be the top contender (at least as of this week )
We're having a horrable time picking out a middle name to go with it, here are our thoughts on what we need to avoid due to an overused family name, our last name starts with a C do we don't want similar initials etc:
Cannot start with an A, E, C or K
Looking for a sweet pretty very feminine sounding name without it sounding too "old"
Cannot end in A or R
Overused family names: Marie, Rose
Thanks for your help!!
Re: Need HELP with a girls middle name!!
Brynn

Nicole
Rae (although that might break your no end in A rule)..Raelynn?
Lee/Leigh
Scarlett
Michelle
Loralei

With a popular FN like Emma (which I love, BTW), I personally would go with a more uncommon, even "fun" name for the middle. For example, maybe a noun/nature inspired name that has some meaning, or something a little obscure. There was a woman on the tri boards with me at one point whose daughter's MN was Bloom, which I thought was so sweet, feminine, and different, and paired with a fairly common, easily recognizable FN, it made the whole thing very spunky. Here are some ideas off the top of my head:
Willow
Brook
Briony/Bryony
Delphine
Iris
Jasmine
Violet
Are there any fun names in either of your family trees?
I'm just going to give this link to check out...it has some good suggestions:

Here's a pretty comprehensive list of names that fit your criteria, though many will not really be your style.
Definitely keep the search engine (Name Finder) at babynamewizard.com in mind, it allows you to include/exclude letters, combinations of letters, syllables, letter length, origins, etc. It's quite useful.
