what to get my godson? need ideas!

Hi - I'd let to get my godson something special for his christening gift.  I'm planning to get him a bond, but what could I give him along with it?  I'm also the godmother to his older sister, and I got her a cross necklace when she was baptized.  However, I dont want to get him jewelry.  Any ideas?

We gave our godson a Bible with his name and date of christening on it.  My SIL got DS a really nice photo album for baptism pics that has his name and date of baptism on it.  For our godson, we also considered a St. Christopher medallion necklace.

I don't have any Godchildren, my DS's Godmother got him a name card, crib medal, chilren's bible, and a really nice engraved picture frame. Here is the frame.

 It says his name and the date and then says "Baptized in Christ."

It's not really a religious thing, but you could get him a silver dollar with the year of his birth. We have family friends that do this for every new baby born. I thought it was a nice tradition.

Cedric got some neat religious kids books for his baptism.  I know the book stores have a whole section of them.  Nice hard back books for all ages.  Or a frame that is inscribed with the date and Christening, that they can put a picture of him and his godparents in.
