Fluid lower/but normal

I had another u/s today for my ID. On last Friday, they saw a difference in fluid from Baby A to Baby B. I went back today and they continue to see a slight difference in the fluid, but they are both in the normal range.  I now have to go to u/s on Monday and Friday next week.  They seem to be checking it which makes me feel better, but at the same time scared that they are checking it this much.  Has anyone else had this issue with the fluid? They are mono/di twins by the way and I know they are checking for TTTS. Their weights are close...1lb 5oz and 1lb 4oz at 22 weeks 5 days. I did start to drink the Ensure drinks this week, but am not sure what else I can do to prevent this?

Re: Fluid lower/but normal

  • TTTS sucks. What sucks even more is not knowing what is going to happen. They tell you not to worry yet but it is not normal to have u/s weekly at 23 weeks. Ensure and REST. Thinking something wrong with your babies makes you want to curl up in a bawl and just cry or nest (but then you get nervous to nest because of all the what ifs). I had my girls at 27 weeks because of IUGR and TTTS, so if you ever need to talk let me know.

  • Thank you and I'm sure I will continue to have more questions.  They have not said anything about the rest part.  I continue to work full-time.  My cervix is great, but it just really is concerning that they need to see me three times for u/s within a one week period.  Thanks again!!
