Recommend a Booster Seat (not 5 pt harness)

I am thinking of taking the plunge and moving Eric to a booster in March when he turns 6 years.  I'm looking for a recs on the best, safest, most supportive boosters.  Slim is a consideration as we have 3 kids in carseats in the back of our SUV (currently 2 are in Sunshine Radian XTSLs and one in a Graco SnugRide).  Help!

Re: Recommend a Booster Seat (not 5 pt harness)

  • Recaro vivo (slim, but is really only for slim kids)

Sunshine Kids Monterey (not slim, fits bigger kids well). I have put it with my 2 radians in several backseats and it fits fine.

    Recaro Pro Booster

Britax Parkway SG (my least favorite)

     Graco Turbobooster

I'd try to go try them in your car and see what fits him best.

  • Thanks, E.  I am trying to decide between the Graco TurboBooster (on sale at Target for $34.95!) or the Recaro Vivo.  Eric is very slim for his age, so I like the slim aspect of the Vivo (and it matches our other carseats better).

  • Does he ride in other cars? You could always buy the turbo and see how you like it, then move it to the extra car if you want to buy the vivo. I prefer the vivo because the headwings are deeper, which means more protection, especially in a side impact collision.
