Just to disclose this to anyone thinking of using someone's name a referral...Anyone that uses someone's referral name and email gives someone a free year of storage. 

Also in case anyone is interested, you can use the coupon code without using anyone or anyone in particular as a referral.

There are acutally lots of $250 coupon codes out there for $250 off if you Google them. Prepaying the $3920 for 18 years of storage saves you about $22 a year if you choose to do it that way. For us saving $22 a year isn't worth paying it all right now.

I luckily get a $400 discount just for being a repeat customer. When I signed up with DD I was able to get $500 off somehow...but that coupon code expired December 09.

ETA: They changed it, you don't get free storage, the referring person gets a $200 check.
