Pelvic pain in pregnancy

anyone find a miracle solution to this?  It's called Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction.  Basically feels like I've been kicked in the crotch.  Hard to move around especially in the morning, etc.  I had it with my last 2 but it's worse now.  My OB talked about sending me to an ortho but I guess they'll give me a walking frame or something and I am not at that point.  But I'm only 25 weeks :(

If anyone has a miracle solution I'd love to hear.  Thanks.

Re: Pelvic pain in pregnancy

  • I had a severe case of this (literally could not walk) and the only relief was with a chiropractor. She was AMAZING. When I was in treatment I was a little uncomfortable but after the severe pain and inability to care for myself or my daughter it was a miracle! She helped me through both pregnancies but my 2nd was so much worse. My OB was totally behind anything that brought me some relief and was so impressed with what mine did for me he now recommends Chiropractic to all his patients with this problem.

Good luck and feel better :-(

  • I also had a severe case with Maile. The chiro helped a lot--when I didn't go I was not able to get out of bed. I went 3 times per week, and could move that day and the next. By the end (last week of pregnancy), though, I was bedridden and literally could not walk without help. You have to get help, though, or the pain will continue after pregnancy. Unfortunately I didn't finish my treatment at the time, and the pain/back pain came back recently.
