fetal fibronectin test

Hi ladies this is my first time on the preemie board but my march momma board didnt answer. 

did you have the fetal fibronectin test done and it come back positive? if so did you deliver within the 2 week window period that they give you? 

the reason im asking is I had my test done on monday and it came back positive im only 32 weeks so im kinda freaking out I dont want him to come to early. I know he will come early but not this early. TIA

All of mine have come back negative, which in a better indicator.  The tests are known to have false positives (if you had sex within the last 24-48 hrs, had a vaginal ultrasound, etc)

Hang in there! I hope you don't deliver any time soon and that you can keep that baby cooking much longer!

Mine came back positive and I almost delivered two weeks later but it was stopped and I held out for one more. Don't stress too much though, although a negative almost definitely means you will not deliver a positive only gives you a 1 in 6 chance of delivery in the next two weeks. Good luck keeping him cooking!

I had the test twice. Both were positive. The first was false. The second wasn't. I delivered that day.

I had several ffn tests. The last one I had at 32 weeks came back positive, but I didn't deliver until 35 weeks 3 days.

I had a pos fFN test at 26w, found out the next day via the dildo-cam that my cervix was very short and started contracting every 3-4min another night later. So I guess for me it was correct. However, they were able to stop the contractions and I didn't deliver until 5 weeks later. I agree with others, the positive is much less reliable. Good luck!

I had one and it came back negative and I delivered the next day...

I had a positive test, was given steroid shots and put on bed rest and delivered 9 days later. My girls were 32 weeks at the time of delivery.

Thanks Ladies for all the input. I go to the doc on monday and im hoping everything is still good. when I went on last monday I only had 1/2 a cm of my cervix left and was dilated to a 2. lets hope and pray he stays in a little bit longer.
