I've been getting BH contractions constantly for weeks on end so today I decided to time them while I was at work. They were anywhere between 5-10 mins with an average of 8 mins apart. I stopped tracking after about 2 hours. UGH.. so annoying. I know this is just my body's way of practicing but it just get so uncomfortable and tiresome. I drink tons of water and have a desk job and they don't go away even when I lay down. Anyone else have constant BH like this?
Re: BH contractions 8 mins apart
Same- I get tons of them. Was getting 10-12 an hour all through Saturday. Walking helps.
My doc sent me to L&D at 29 wks just to see if they were affecting my cervix but luckily they weren't. At that point they were almost exactly 10 mins apart. I don't think they've stopped since
at 35 weeks there is really nothing they can do.
I have had constant BH forever. I have been checked and rechecked (earlier on).
Some people just have more than others.
sorry!
Yeah I swear sitting at a desk makes them WORSE. I hate it.
At least we have the idea that if you get up and move around and it makes them worse they are probably real! lol

Some days I have them about 3-4 min apart and have for the past month or so. I talked to my doctor about it and he said "well she's not here yet so they must not be doing anything". I can say this answer wasn't comforting and I still have them all the time but i have gotten to the point where I quit timing them. I figure that I am far enough along now that they wouldn?t stop my labor anyways so when they are ?real? I will deal with them and until then I will just put up with the BH. My biggest fear is not being able to tell the difference.
I know, I stopped timing them as well because what's the point? My doc says you will be in so much pain with real contractions that you will want to go to the hospital so not to worry. I think real contractions are more like menstrual cramps which I've had a few of lately as well. I'd pay much more attention to those..
