Any Mirena users?

I got the Mirena at the end of December.  I have not been on any b/c since we started TTC in early 2005.  But seriously, in the last 3 -4 weeks, I feel like I am a total mess.  My body feels so wacky and PMS like and I have never felt this way before.  My kids are great, I do not think this is any post partum depression but has anyone else experienced this? Do you think it could be from the hormonal release of the IUD? It all started shortly after the IUD was inserted.  I see my doctor next week but just curious if anyone else had this happen to them?

I hated my Mirena. For a lot of the reasons you listed, too! I ended up having it removed. I couldn't deal. Oh yeah, and it slipped into my cervix, my OB cut the strings too short and it stabbed DH and made him BLEED!!

I had Mirena for about a year. I had a bloated lower belly the whole time I had it, and my body just felt out of wack. Like goldenleaves, mine also slipped into my cervix. It would constantly pinch me (and DH), so I got it removed. I feel SO much better now that it is gone.

Me too. I know a lot of people it, I just couldn't deal with the side effects.

I haven't had any side effects, DH can't feel it, I can't feel it.  I love it. But, I was on the pill for years and years, so my body is pretty used to hormonal b/c.

If you feel weird, talk to your ob. Your body may just need time to adjust.
