3rd Trimester

Anyone else LO's movements painful?

My little man is very active and a lot of times his movements are really painful! Some of his rolling, prodding and poking hurt so bad it takes my breath away. Its mostly when the movements are up higher where my organs are. It makes it extremely difficult to sleep and by the end of the day my stomach just aches!

Anyone else experiencing this? I am 32 weeks. Is this going to get worse as he gets bigger?

Re: Anyone else LO's movements painful?

  • Yes, my first baby wasn't nearly this painful, but this lo is totally crazy inside there. And she rolls and gets into the wierdest of place. Definately more painful as time goes on, but changing positions usually helps.

  • yes!  I hope it doesn't get worse! My lil man hurts me sometimes too.  It's actually pretty bad tonight. As he gets bigger, I wonder if it will get more painful, or not as bad since there's less room to move around..

  • yeah and the bigger they get the worse it gets :( my LO has been head down for weeks with his bum right under my ribs. I can feel him stretching him butt up into my ribs and he is poking or grabbing at something in my left hip area with his hands at the same time. not cool at all haha

  • YES!!!  My little man has been hurting his Mom for about 8 weeks now.  Sorry, but it just gets worse. :(  At least we know they're moving around, right?

Just prior to reading this, I was complaining to DH about how this Herculean Ninja was mutilating my body.

  • ha! Herculean Ninja! ha! I'm happy for movement but don't like being shoved around from the inside. The shoulders to the pelvic bone are the worst.
  • Tonight I have been getting the should to the pelvis and a foot to the rib at the same time!! No fun!!! I just hope he lets me sleep tonight!!
  • half the time the movements are fine, but the other half they are soo painful!!

  • YES! I have been feeling her since 13 weeks and she just gets stronger and stronger as each week progresses. I am bruised and sore! My first one wasn't this bad at all but this little girl is a moving machine.

  • YES.  He has hurt me a few times today.  He really likes to push up high on the right, under my boob.  That's one active... left foot?  Whatever it is almost felt like it should have bruised me earlier!

  • I totally relate! Yesterday was the worst for me, at one point I thought he was going to pop out of my stomach like in alien, and it freaked DH out when I yelled in pain. But I keep being reminded that it's a blessing to be able to feel him moving, at least I know he's ok
