i mean it started weeks ago but it REALLY started last night... yup. the annoying "wow anydays now huh?" or "there is NO WAY you can make it another month" comments!
we went to a funeral visitation last night for DH's friends mom so all DH's friends were there and seriously my HUGE belly was the topic of convo for a good 20 minutes! ughhh. they were all discussing how iv dropped and this baby will be here any day now (i wish)!
all though i will say i did laugh when DH's friend (who lost his mother so clearly was not in the best mood) cracked jokes such as "OMG, hey how are you, when are you due, tonight?" and then our exit of "Kb (DH) take your poor wife home.. or to the hospital or something!"
Re: so its started....
I'm already hearing it too. Went to the cafe yesterday for lunch here in our building and the elderly couple that work there were amazed that I haven't had the baby yet. It was "WOW!! We thought you had the baby! You're still pregnant?!" Ummm, clearly as I have 9-11 weeks left. Thanks a bunch, can I have my lunch now? "Well, we just can't get over how big you are!" Awesome sauce, I'm hungry and need to feed the behbeh...lunch please?
The comments don't stop. I'm ready to post a sign outside my cube that reads:
"The State saw fit to arm me with a Glock .40 so think before you speak to the pregnant woman sitting inside this cube."
Can we make a couple of these and pass them out :P
Blah... I was just complaining about this the other day to my mom lol. I'm like "Mom, am I seriously THAT HUGE!?" because people have been telling me since about 31-32 weeks that I wasn't going to make it because I'm "enormous".... and asking "are you SURE you're not having TWINS?!" They say that women lose brain cells while they're pregnant, but I think the people around them lose their whole freakin brain! Basically now I've just stopped smiling at them and laughing it off with a witty comeback. I just give them the death stare and walk away. Its funny how uncomfortable that makes people
Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside though!
Abso-friggin-lutely! I'll even snag some of the colored paper from my secretary...I think I'm gonna put puffy heart stickers on mine.
The security guard at work says to me, "Oh you're the 3rd bump. We were talking about the pregnant teachers and we couldn't remember who the 3rd was." I said, "Well I'm due the earliest. I'm 31 weeks and they (the other teachers) are both 25 weeks." The security guard didn't believe me and then went on (and on) about how tiny my bump is.
It's annoying both ways I guess!!!!
