I'm upgrading my phone to a smartphone finally and I have zero idea what I should look for. Any suggestions would be fabulous. My current phone makes calls and sends texts so this is a whole new phone experience for me.
Well you can order the iphone from verizon starting Feb. 3rd if you can wait, but I have the Droid Incredible and I LOVE IT!! My BIL has the droid x and he really likes that one, but I think it's too big. Good luck!

I have the Droid X and my DH has the iphone 4. We both like my phone so much better. I had planned on waiting to get the iphone but after DH got his, I wasn't so impressed and decided to get the Droid X. Yea its bigger but you get used to the big screen and won't want to go smaller.
i'm personally not a big iphone fan. I love the ipod touch, and would KILL for a mac for editing photos, etc.. but other than that I think apples are a bit trendy and overrated. I have a droid that I'm very happy with and have been with verizon for over 10 yrs.

I wanted the iphone but my H talked me into an Android based phone. According to him and all his research the Android operating system is going to become the industry standard. That and who doesn't love google?
Verizon iPhone has received very low reviews...the Verizon network does not yet have the capabilities to truly support the iPhone. I am a huge fan of Verizon though and have the Droid Incredible and LOVE it...was not a fan of the whole touch screen thing but I seriously love the Droid.

Exactly. I wouldn't go with the Verizon iPhone. You cannot do everything that AT&T iPhone can do, so it's kinda pointless. When I had Verizon, I looooved my blackberry. I had both a curve and a pearl, liked the curve a lot better...but they have also improved drastically since I had Verizon. I know a lot of people who are in love with their Droids.
I'm eligible for my AT&T upgrade, but I'm not sure if I'm gonna go with the iPhone 4 or a different smartphone...I love my iPhone, but I hear such great things about other phones too...
I just switched from an old fashioned cell phone to a Droid 2. I love it. I love that it has a full qwerty keyboard for all my texting, but it has also been pretty easy to figure out all the extra stuff and apps. I am even getting used to the touch screen, though I love that I don't HAVE to use it to type.

I have an original Motorola Droid and love it. I've dropped it a few dozen times w/o a case and besides some scratches on the back, it's totally fine. I love the keyboard - so easy to text! The navigation is awesome too. I'll probably upgrade to a Droid 2 or 3 depending on what's out when I can get a new one at the end of the year. My DH has a Droid and so does my mom. My brother has a Droid X which is great, though I find it hard to hold because it's so big. I've been a Mac girl for 10 years but I really have no desire to get an iPhone right now.
Both my husband and I have the Droid Incredible. I like it a lot, he LOVES it. My thing is that not all the apps are available for Android BUT I would not get an iPhone from Verizon for the first year. I have always found that with stuff like that, there are glitches to work out.
Re: NBR: Recommend your verizon smart phone
I think it was Feb 11 in store. I just checked yesterday. I've been waiting for my contract to be up so I could switch to AT&T, now I don't have to.
