NTTCALR crazy fire and gas leak that shook my house just now!

OMG!!! So we saw a bunch of cops and fire trucks doing down my street and FI went to see what was going on and the cops said there was a combustible gas leak and they evacuated all of the appartments on that block around the corner from us. Then FI comes in and says "if you hear a huge BOOM to get out of the house right away!!" What do you know 5 mins later we hear the huge BOOM and my whole house was shaking. So I grabbed DS and ran out of the house.

If you know anything about Philadelphia then you know we have many police districts and in each are hundreds of cops, well every single available officer is parked all up and down MY street becaause they were all called to respond. We were outside for about 30 mins in the freezing cold before they told us we could go back in and that our house because we were not in any harm. I was so scared and crying because i didnt know what was going on or if we would be allowed in out house. Apparently the store about a 30 second walk from my house blew up and now there is a huge fire in 5 of the stores there. I am now home and safe. But just wanted to sahre this crazy thing with all of you.

WOW! That is pretty intense. I would be shaking in my boots if that happened to me. At least you can go put your feet up and relax again. I'm sorry things have been so hectic for you lately!

So scary! Something like that happened here in CA recently - the explosion leveled a whole neighborhood. I am glad you are safe!

Oh my goodness!!! That is crazy - how scary!! So glad that you are okay and that you could go back in the house. Hopefully the danger has passed.

Thank you so much and hectic does not even begin to describe it. Our cable is now out so there is not much to do. But thanks goodness the internet is still working. Stick out tongue I am supposed to be in bed but I NEED to know what;s going on.
