Wish me luck please!!....

in 3rd Trimester

I have my GTT in the morning and I am sooo nervous!!.. I have been through it before and I never do very well!!..with my first DD I passed out when they took my blood after the first hour.... with my second DD I almost threw up and didnt get to finish the test...and then I failed!!...During the 3 hour I was soo dizzy and sick that they put me in a room and made me lay down the entire time and take my blood while laying down!!..& I ended up with GD!!!...So needless to say I am not looking forward to it!!!....I dont mind the drink...its just all the other stuff that has me worried!!...

Also does anyone know if I fail this 1hr ...I can just refuse the 3 hr and see if they will go ahead and treat me for GD...???  I dont know that I could go through the 3 hr again!!  & has anyone had GD with one pregnancy and then didnt have it again???

    I wasnt' allowed to decline the 3hr even though I said I wanted to just start the diet and stuff... I still had to take it, but that said, ask to lay down right away, that is what they had me do for the 3hr test this time and it was much better (I also have an issue with fainting especially when fasting)

    ughhh that is what I was afraid of! LOL... I was hoping to just start the diet too...Oh well I guess you have to do what you have to do!!.. The joys of pregnancy!... & I think my issue with the fainting was not being able to eat also!!  I asked them about that and they said this time if I wanted to I could eat an egg for breakfast but I think for the 3 hr you arent allowed anything!

    Yeah the 3 hr test is definately a 10 hour fasting. It will be ok... what we do for our los. Lol. I technically passed the 3 hr GTT but my own home testing was showing high over night numbers so I had to start again anyways. Fun Fun. I wish you luck :)
