More antibiotics

Ugh this will be the 3rd round of antibiotics for this ear infection that just won't go away.  My diapers can't handle anymore :/  If this doesn't work its off to the ear, nose and throat specialist for tubes :(

    Poor girl! We've battled ear infections since reese was about 6 months old. As scary as tubes sound, it was honestly the best thing we did for her! What antibiotic is she on? If it's omincef, I would make sure you have lots of liners or disposables because her poop will be red and it will stain your dipes! I had a really hard time getting the stains out of ours! (sorry for the lack of paragraphs, I'm on my phone!)

    this one is bactrim.  She has been on a low dose of this one her whole life for kidney reflux, this is just a higher dose.  The other times it was amoxicillian.

    I had kidney reflux for years as a child until I had surgery to correct it. The meds they gave me were disgusting!

    My sister also had it but outgrew it with no surgery needed. :) 

    How did they find out she had kidney reflux?

    She got a UTI in the nicu.  They called me and told me she had the same thing logan died of and to get to the hospital ASAP.  they transferred her to the children's hospital for surgery.  The dr. there took one look at her and said it was a uti. So we had xrays done to diagnose the reflux.  Its mild so they are pretty sure she will outgrow it.

    Omg how scary! :( I'm so sorry for your loss. I saw his pictures on your FB. What a beautiful little baby.

    I'm glad its mild. Like I said, my sister outgrew it without need for surgery so it definitely does happen. :)
