So, I have good news. My doctor, well nurse practicioner, ordered an u/s and b/w for me!! I explained my possible LPD and spotting but she didn't seem too concerned. She said that I am still "normal" when it comes to how long it takes the average couple to conceive. She also said I shouldn't be worried because I was able to get pregnant and very quickly. But, I don't really agree with not being worried because I was able to get pregnant because that is only half the battle!
Anyways, she asked me if I was getting antsy and I of course said yes. So, she wrote up scripts for b/w and u/s. She ordered a ton of tests for b/w including Estradiol, FSH/LH, Progesterone, TSH, and prolactin.
I am somewhat confused about when I should get the b/w and u/s done. She said I should get the b/w done CD22 but I remember you ladies saying that I shouldn't do that because that is assuming I hava a 28 day cycle. So, I asked about that and she said I can also go to get the b/w 2dpo, asssuming I am sure when I O. I thought b/w should be done 7dpo. She also said I can get the u/s done at the beginning of my next cycle, when AF is over. I was wondering if I could just get the b/w and u/s done at the same time. I guess I'll ask when I call to make the app. Anyone have any experience with something similar that can offer advice?
I told her that I have been taking a Vitamin B Complex to try to help with my LP. She said she has not heard that Vitamin B Complex can help but it wouldn't hurt to take it.
Sorry this post is so long. I wanted to make sure I didn't miss any details!!

I had ultrasounds done the cycle before & the cycle of my loss to confirm a late O. They can measure your follie and see when you will ovulate (& what side) since the 21 day progesterone test is not always accurate in determining when you do O. I was also told B-6 doesn't work to increase your LP. The cycle before my ectopic I O'ed on day 19 of a 25 day cycle, so they wanted to do a follow up. The month I got pregnant with my ectopic they thought that the lining & everything looked good, so not to worry about the short LP (I O'ed on day 18 that month).
Sadly both of those months I Oed on the right....which is now a BIG problem since I have no tube there. My current doctor said Clomid (which I started this month-both for the LP & to get that left ovary going) or progesterone are really the only things that will fix a short LP. Short LPs are related to both ectopic pregnancies & miscarriages, but most doctors will not treat it because "you can still get pregnant".
They usurally do the US between days 10&12 and the blood test 7 days after you O to confirm it. Sorry.
I'm glad your appointment went well. I'm no expert, but I *think* you're supposed to do the blood work (except for progesterone) on CD 3, and yes, the progesterone test should be done 7 DPO, regardless of what CD you're on. CD 21/22 assumes that you O on CD 14.
If you're trying to lengthen your LP, you want to take B6. It didn't work for me, but I hope it works for you. Good luck!
