This may be a post and run, since my daughter is starting to stir for a feeding!
Lila Jane was born on Thursday, January 13th. She weighed 7lbs 7oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. She's a little peanut!

Quick run down of my crazy birth story:
At my appointment on Monday, I was 2 1/2 cms and 80%. Dr said I would definitely go that week. Pretty sure I lost my mp on Wednesday.
I was having contractions on Wednesday night, but they weren't regular or rythmic. Then they completely stopped. I woke up at 4:30 a.m. with contractions again, so I gave it some time and then started timing them. They were about 10-12 minutes apart. I got up and timed them all morning and they weren't getting worse or closer.
Until about 11, they were 5 minutes apart, just like that. None of them hurt, just more uncomfortable than anything. After an hour, I called DH and told him to start heading home from work, that I was calling the dr. Went to the bathroom and saw some bright red blood, called the dr, who said to head right in.
I jumped in the shower and was out by the time DH got home and in we went. We got there about 1:30. Sat in triage for an hour before she finally gave me an exam. At this point, the contractions were about 2 minutes apart. Still not painful, but it was getting tougher because they were right on top of each other. She checked me, her eyes got big and said I was 8 cms! I was very surprised, because I wasn't in any great amount of pain.
So I got admitted and they did regular admission type stuff. Then I asked to get in the tub, figuring I still had some painful contractions coming. I got in and 20 minutes later, she checked the baby's hr. I told her that my contractions were feeling different and that I needed checked. Got out and had to talk with anesthesiologist for about 10 minutes. At this point, they were tough to get through because I felt like my butt was going to fall off. She finally checked me - barely got down there before she said baby's here, I need to page your doctor.
She left and I had 2 more contractions before I told my H to get someone back now, that I couldn't hold it anymore. I decided to go ahead without my dr. They broke my water, I pushed about 5-6 times for 20 minutes and out she came! Pushing was the worst pain of my life. There was no time for drugs of any kind, so I went med-free. If I had to push for any longer, I think I may have quit. But once she was out, it was a distant memory. Oh, and my dr walked in as I was delivering the placenta!
We got to the hospital at 1:30 and delivered at 4:20. The nurses kept saying they just couldn't believe how quick it went!
I had a 2nd degree tear, but otherwise, I'm not any worse for the wear. During recovery, I was glad I didn't have any drugs in my system.
Our little girl is amazing. We've had a few hiccups (I'm pumping already because BF'g wasn't going well for us and her nights and days are off). But otherwise, we're enjoying parenthood!
Good luck to everyone. Hope every has smooth deliveries!
