Parenting after a Loss

This can't be happening

How in the hell is my cute little adorable 11 week old almost out growing 6 month clothes? I know that different brands run small/large, but almost all the 6 month sleepers he has are to small, like I might get another week or two out of them.

  • Wow!  What a big boy!  L was born 8 days after your LO and is just starting to outgrow some of his 3 month sleepers.
2 years TTC with 5 losses, 1 year recovering, 6 months applying for adoption approval, and almost a year waiting for a placement. Then, a miracle BFP at age 36!

  • Wow, what a big boy!!!! Nathan doesn't weigh as much but we have the same problem with length. I've started buying stuff without feet and we just use socks.

  • Wow really?! Jax was 17lb and 26 in (as of 2 weeks ago) and he's still in 6 months, he wears mainly Carters and Circo (I guess Circo is starting to get a bit short) but we have some others also. Now he is also in some small 9 month sleepers.

I wonder if his sleepers shrank in the wash or something or if they just ran small.

I don think they shrank. I wash all his clothes on cold water and gentle cycle. He doesn't like his toes being tight, so as soon as his feet properly fit the foot part he starts freaking out because his toes are smooshed. I think he will be like me and wear flip flops 24/7/365. I only wear proper shoes at work because they make me.

That's hilarious! I guess it's a good thing that by the time he's big enough to really be wearing shoes it'll be warm enough for sandals!

  • DS was 15.2lbs and 26 inches at his 2 month appt. He looked like a 6 month old. We switched to Hanna Andersson pjs from the footed sleepers b/c he was growing out of them too quickly. I'm curious to see the 4 month stats. He seems to have slowed down but is still a long little chunk.
