Saturday Shredding Check In

Man, I wanted to "phone it in" today but I pushed through.  I did bump up my weights for the first set but I was dying so had to go back to a lower weight for the second set.  My upper body strength is laughable!    I am so glad everyone is sticking with this...way to go!  I am envisioning myself on my Florida vacation in May looking SHREDDED!

  • I haven't done it yet today but wanted to complain that I weighed myself this morning and have GAINED a pound. I don't buy that "muscle weighs more than fat" excuse (and Jillian herself has said that's BS) and I haven't eaten as well as I did the previous week, but I didn't do terribly. I'm annoyed and am going to have to resist giving up. Must. Shred. Today.

  • I also gained!  I had a slight heart attack but decided to shred and weigh myself when I am finished with Level 1 (10 days).  I agree that whole muscle weighs more thing is ridiculous but I also cannot quite figure out the reason behind the gain...especially since I follow WW religiously. 

    Another random though...as I was dong the chest flies today I started to wonder why a woman would need to do them.  I don't want pecs, I have boobs!  Can someone shed some light on the whole chest fly thing?  What exactly am I working on when I do them?

  • I finally got started this morning. So Day 1 again for me. Embarrassed I've been fighting a nasty cold since Christams and am finally feeling a little better.

    My goal? Vegas with a few girlfriends in 3 weeks.

    I've been doing the Shred on an off in December so I think I'm going to move up to level 2 tomorrow.

    This... I had no desire to do it today, but I made myself. Today was day 10 level 2 (second day on level 2)! I love level 2 so much more than level 1. I felt like level 1 was lacking on ab work and I am really feeling it in my abs these last two days. More intense, but also more rewarding. I am so glad that I did it today, I feel so energized now!! Now off to date night with DH. 

    SAHM to the sweetest little girl and boy... I love my job!

  • I ended up making myself do Level 1 Day 6 tonight after the girls were in bed, despite still being highly frustrated that I gained a pound since starting! I'm definitely gaining strength and am almost ready to move on to L2, but am not sure I'll ever be coordinated enough to do dome of those moves on L2! I'm proud of myself for not giving up yet.
