I have made a nest

I'm an avid nest builder, but I gotta say, this is a thing of beauty.  A work of art, perhaps.  I think in some cultures, I might be considered an architectural genius for this one. 

DH is out of town for the weekend, the house is clean, and I have nowhere to be  (aaahhhhhhhh!).  So, I've got myself settled under and smooshed in several blankets and pillows on my favorite oversized chair, all perfectly placed for maximum comfort and warmth.  I've got the Kindle, laptop and cell phone within easy reach and a mug of tea in my lap. 

If anyone comes to the door or decides they need to go pee in the snow, I will surely cry.  This bird has some serious sloth-ing to do.

That sounds awesome!!!  I would love to be able to do that today!!!  Sadly, I have to leave the house - for very good reasons - to go visit my dad and to go see Mary Poppins tonight, but it is cold outside and I would love to be snuggled in all day. 

I also need to take down the Christmas tree and put away our decorations.  I am a bit of a procrastinator - lol.

I've done something similar this morning - less the 'clean house' part.

I got out of bed, made coffee, grabbed the laptop and headed right back to bed DH is OOT until Monday evening and I'm just nesting my booty off.

Our tree will come down on Monday.  It's part procrastination, part not wanting to add more stress to the holiday season, but I always leave it up until MLK weekend.  Plus, I just like having it all up

PS- Our tree is still up, and is turning a nice shade of brown.  One day I will get around to taking it down.
