TTC After a Loss

worried and stressed

Well, I have done something to my back. I don't know if it is a pulled muscle or possibly a disk problem. My brother had surgery about 2 years ago due to a bulging disk, and he says it sounds more like a possible slipped disk, but would only be able to tell by a MRI. I'm in alot of pain right now, but don't want to to anything right now, not until I see AF. Just asking, Can you take muscle relaxers if your pregnant or have a MRI? Not that I'm pregnant yet, but what if? Ya know. Any advice ladies?

Re: worried and stressed

  • Have you considered a chiropractor?  I was having some awful back pain a few months ago and it turned out I had a rib out of place.  No amount of muscle relaxers would have put it back into place, but 2 adjustments and I've not hurt since!  The adjustment about made me pee myself, but the relief was nearly instant.

  • I may try that, it really hurts in my right side lower back, I've been sleeping with a heating pad and taking warm baths.

  • Sorry your having pain.  Where in your back is the pain at?  Lower back and is it more on one side?  Any shooting pains any where else?

This! I went to see one years ago and it was really helpful.

  • Definitely go see someone and get it checked out.  You should be able to tell a dr you are TTC and ask if any prescriptions they give you are safe.  Most doctors I have talked to are understanding about that.

Good luck!  I hope you feel better soon.

  • It's just in my lower right side of my back, like where the kidney is, but I'm not having any problems with the bathroom, so I'm not sure, but I do want to be safe about what I'm taking.
