I found these two Beatrix Potter prints and really want to use them in the nursery...but I'm having trouble deciding what color furniture and walls I would use! Do ya'll have any thoughts? TIA
I'd do like an oak type color (lighter wood) and maybe like a greenish colored wall? Kind of near the color of TheBump side bar almost. ?? I don't know. But I'd do light wood for the furniture.
if you can find a wood finish that matches the color of the brown jacket.... dont know wood finishes but think chestnut might be the one im thinking of... and i know that beatrix potter uses a lot of pale blues in the books... this may be a good start, if you have some of the books as well it might be easy to match a swatch to a shade in the book... if you take one of the books to lowes and stand in the paint section, you will be safer picking a color... her illustrations are muted but beautiful in tones
I agree with PPs about the sage green walls...or a light yellow too! And light or dark wood would go...or white even. Wood is all pretty neutral. I personally would go with a darker wood, only because I like the way it looks more than a light oak.
