Parenting after a Loss

AW: My first fluffy

It's probably more an AP post, but I'm sooo excited!  My first woven wrap (aka fluffy) arrived from Canada today.  It's a Didymos wrap, and I even brought it to work to try to practice wrapping when I'm not busy.  I work all weekend, so I might not get to actually try it out with Addison until Monday, but nonetheless, it's here!  Big Smile

I don't know what a Vat is yet...

I have the Ergo, and love it!  I wore Addison at the beach earlier this week (Although by saying "the beach," it makes it sound like it was warm and wonderful.  It was actually cold and windy, and walking along the beach was more for us than her!)  I just wanted something to replace the Moby, as it seems like it is limited in what I can do with it.  I hope that she'll let me wear her into toddler-hood, but we'll see.

  • We love our woven wraps here (and our Ergo).  It can take a little while to learn the carries especially back carries, so be patient.  Practicing can be fun too even without the baby.  On Thursdays, I was walking around the house with a pillow on my back in a practice double hammock.  The AP board and TBW are great for instructions on carries.  Have fun and enjoy!

Vat is Vatanai - a very lightweight woven, good for summer or warm climates. Needs less breaking in than many of the others :)
