heavy wetter and hemp insert

DS is a heavy wetter, especially during naps and at night. I just bought a few hemp inserts to use hoping that they will do the trick. If you use hemp inserts, do you use one hemp and one microfiber? Do you use multiple hemp inserts?? If it helps, I use BG 3.0 and 4.0.

Any advice would be great!

If I am going to long time between changes, I use a hemp insert. If I'm a little concerned, I'll throw a thin microfiber insert on top, especially at naptime. At night I use two microfiber inserts on top of a hemp insert, because my DS is a crazy heavy wetter. Microfiber will absorb faster, while hemp will absorb more. So the general suggestion is to put the microfiber on top of the hemp.

I tried out three hemp inserts one night instead of the 2 MF and the 1 hemp and it just wasn't enough for him. Like all cloth diapering, it is sometimes just trial and error to see what works for your LO.

I used a hemp insert with the BG 3.0 AIO two nights in a row and our little guy woke up crying around 3AM. The diaper didn't leak at all...I think he just felt wet or something. Last night I put one of the flip microfiber stay dry inserts in instead and he slept all night. Not sure if the hemp will work for us, but I'm going to wash it a few more times to make sure its absorbing properly...
