My dad swears by (and we used for gear for Europe) sierra trading post. A quick search of their kids corner and I see long underwear marked 48-50% off. My last order from there took less than a week to arrive, I think.
Target used to carry some - I think they were "jammies" but they were made of the same material as thermals (sort of that waffle-weave stuff). I also just used to use baby legs on Ryan under his clothes.
Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.
