A "whopping" 180 pounds!!!

This is what I feel like doing after the news channel I was watching said that Carrie Fisher "ballooned up to a whopping 180 pounds". Make a woman feel even worse about herself will ya?

TV always make you feel so good about yourself, right?  I love it when they talk about how all the celebreties gain weight and get up to a size 6!  It is ridiculous.  I also believe they don't always tell the truth about sizes or that they make sizes bigger in Hollywood.  I ead that Kim Kardashian was a size 2. I would LOVE to look like her, but I don't believe she is a size two.

I'm not surprised. Most anchorwomen look like they surivive off of water and crackers. I want to give them a cheeseburger when I watch them on the 10:00 news. It makes sense that their views would be a bit distorted. 180 looks normal to me!

They have changed the sizes over the last several years, making everything bigger. It's called vanity sizing:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vanity_sizing

You may have noticed, when shopping for wedding or bridesmaid dresses, they tend to stick to the old "real" sizes, so most women are surprised they need a bigger size then they're used to now.

I'v always wondered about that. Maybe I'm just a bad judge of weight, but I can take two people, same height, same weight, and to me, one can look 30 pounds heavier than the other. It's all about how they carry it.

Unless Carrie CALLED up the news station and reported what the scale said that morning, I don't know how they could know her weight,

I don't even care at the moment.  I just love food and will not deny myself life's simple pleasures.

its crazy- celebrities out there make it look very easy- but its unhealthy- back to the old HCG diet- anyone can be thin when they starve themselves-  but remember the power of photoshop- if you look at this month's O magazine oprah looks quite slim- altho IRL she looks nothing like the picture--

i am 173, with hard work and exercise.  thats what sucks about being 5' 10" and not a twig.

my husband informed me that by army standards im almost "fat"

my jeans are size 10!  size 8 on a very good day.

my husband isnt one to let me lounge around and we moderate the crap we eat, and it hurts when people are so disgusted by 180

I dream of 180... that's ridiculous... "Whopping" - Idiots. People on tv should try livin gin the real world where your job doesn't include x hrs a day in the gym and a personal trainer. Then I'd like to see their "whopping" numbers. Grrr...

I have to admit that just a couple years ago (maybe 3?) I finally realized what his "anaconda" actually was. I'm a quick one!

LOL I''m doing WW right now and 180 is my first goal weight! I'm 5'10, and the last time I weighed 180 I felt great! And I also had to count points and work out 1 hour a day to get and stay there! ARGH!
