  • I'm glad someone else recognizes it and I'm happy it transports you.

I loved Maui, my absolute fav of the 3 islands I've been to (Maui, Big, Kauai).

Funny story about olivine pools excursion -

It was our 2nd day in Maui, we had arrived there the night before and basically only had dinner.  I was completely thrown off by time difference and was up at 4am ready to go.  Around 6am we head out and take the one-lane winding road to Olivine pools (it takes us a good while to get there).  We get there, hike down and snorkel and swim and have great time.  A couple min after hiking up I pass out :(  DH is scared out of his mind b/c we have no cell reception and we'd run out of water.  Thankfully, an older couple come by and give him water and stay with him til I come to.

Anyway, we get back in car and D is convinced I passed out b/c I was pregnant.  It took forever to convince him otherwise (I was mid-cylce about to 0) and then he made me eat the first thing we saw on way back, McD's.  If only we knew then what we know now.

and for the record, i think i passed out from lack of sleep and food and wedding stress, we left monday after our saturday wedding and i had been having awful IBS episodes and hadn't been eating b/c i didn't want the runs in my wedding dress (can you imagine :(

ok very long post, sorry to hurt your eyes ;)

  • Wow, that's a crazy story!  I've heard about a lot of people (especially brides) getting sick on their honeymoon.  I think it's all the running around, stress  and exhaustion.

We went to Maui and Oahu.  I loved them both.

We loved driving on that road, it was so cool!

IF we lived on the west coast I think we'd go to Hawaii A LOT!  DH loves to surf in the warm (as opposed to winter surfing here) water. . . and I know he'd love to do it more often.
