A diaper bag. I couldn't help it, they are selling Mia Bossi bags on hautelook.com for a fraction of the price! It doesn't even look like a diaper bag, it's really nice.

Anyone else made silly purchases like this even though they weren't up the duff? Am I the only dummy????

I can't see myself buying any baby stuff...it'll just bring me heartbreak every time I see it.  I bought some maternity clothes last summer when I was PG....and now it's in a bag hidden in my closet. I have 2 nice maternity sweaters......don't think I'll ever wear it

I only buy maternity stuff if it's on clearance.  The only baby stuff I bought were two onesies I got for my DH for Christmas before we found out about the loss.  I just feel like I would jiinx it buying baby stuff.

no purchases made by me, but MIL mailed up a bellaband or whatever those are and some maternity leggings along with a cute little baby figurine...the stuff arrived in the mail the DAY of the miscarriage, she felt soooo bad, poor thing!

I did the same thing actually, I bought a couple of baby blankets before my loss, and then they came a few days after I m/c'd. I am trying to think more rationally about this, mainly that I'm not jinxing myself by buying a baby bag. It's hard though when you already feel defective (Me, not you . One day at a time, eh?

I feel as though I've opened up some wounds for people by mentioning my purchase, so I just wanted to apologize for that. I feel a bit silly now, I can see how it would seem a bit insensitive.

That is nice of you to say that.  I originally thought that this could be a little sensitive too, but I was in need of a little optimism, so it's kinda helping my mood, personally.  I really need some sunshine this week.  (((Hugs))) to everyone if the purse post made you feel blue.

I bought a stuffed fleece elephant a few weeks back. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen and I couldn't help myself. I also bought a few pair of booties at a craft fair that my nana had a table at. I hope to be able to use them all eventually.

I see no reason to pass up good baby deals.  I will be pg at some time and I will have another baby - I refuse to believe otherwise.  If I see something at a good price I will buy it.

I totally agree with this!  I think it's not silly. I believe in the power of positive thinking.  I do have to keep anything I buy packed away in a bin for now because if I have to stare at it, it makes me sad BUT it also makes me hopeful knowing that little bin in the closet is just waiting for the day I will need it.

In all seriousness, thanks for the responses and the support. It does help to know that I'm not the only one who does this. I really hope I'll get to use it soon, and I hope you guys get to use your baby stuff just as quick as well.
