silly vent about anatomy scan...hate waiting so long!

I hate that I have to wait so long!   It's on Feb 16...I'll be 22 weeks.   July moms are getting theirs before me!     And it's not because I waited until the last minute to make the appt.   I made it on Dec 20 right after they finished my NT scan.  I just want to see baby again!  

We still haven't decided if we're going to stay on Team Green this time around.   We did with DS.   I had the scan with him when at either 18 or 19 weeks.    

On the plus side though, the place I am getting the scan is awesome...so much better where I got it done for DS.    With DS, the tech refused to print up pics and said we don't do that.  She also never let us listen to the HB.  

For my NT scan, the tech printed up a ton of pics before I even asked and let us listen to the HB for over a minute.   She said she was going to leave it on for a bit because she knows how much parents love to hear it.    So I know my anatomy scan will be a better experience this time around.    

 I can't wait to see the baby again.   I have my next OB appt on Jan 20.   I'm hoping that the ob will want to take a quick peak again like she did at my appt at 14 weeks(she didn't want to waste time with the doppler since she joked my kid is a troublemaker so she did a quick U/S to get the heartrate)   

I know this is such a silly vent but I really wish I didn't have to wait so long!

I'm right there with ya! I know everyone has posted that they have had their anatomy/sex scans at as early as 16 weeks, but my Dr.'s(I see 3 that rotate) all are adamate that you shouldn't have it done until 21-22 weeks because that's when it's fully developed. I just had my monthly appointment and they scheduled it for Feb. 2, which will put me at 21 weeks. Sucks waiting, but could you imagine getting the wrong info and finding out the "real" sex later. That would upset me greatly. I'll trust my docs are right, and try my hardest to be patient. If I have extra patience, I'll make sure to pass it to you!

Mine is next week at 21 weeks.  Cannot wait to find out the gender!

I'm right there with you -- mine is on Feb 14th. I'll be 20.5 weeks by then. The hospital I go to for scans won't do them before 19 weeks and we couldn't get an earlier date because of my work schedule. At one point I wanted to ignore my work schedule and move it up, but then MH was pretty excited to get the scan on Valentine's Day.

On the bright side, at least you'll know that you baby's development will be much more accurate at Week 21/22.

Mine is only a week away but I understand being antsy with all these other girls posting away about theirs! I'm excited to find out the sex and hopefully prove everyone wrong that think its a girl. But mostly, I feel like there is a lot riding on this appointment since if the baby is small or the fibroids have grown very much since my NT scan, I will have to go on bedrest. Also, my last regular appointment was something like december 11 and I don't go back until after the scan on January 24. I'm so worried something has happened in all that time away from doctors!

I feel your pain. I have mine scheduled for February 10th. I will almost be 21 weeks. It feels sooo long away! To look on the bright side- we will see so much more of the baby and we will know the 100% sure that the tech will about the sex (if you choose to find out)
