At what point did you move to IVF? IF I wasnt OOP I think I would probably be going next cycle. But seeing as I am OOP... I just dont know if I should keep trying injectables 2 more cycles or move to IVF. I am not getting any younger...

Thankful for every day
We are unexplained IF and OOP (except for meds). A round of IUI will be about $3,000 (becaue of all of the monitoring). We haven't started any treatments yet because we are still trying to figure things out. But I think we will do one IUI and that's it. The success rates are so low and for me since we are unexplained I can't logically wrap my head around IUI (meaning if I knew what the problem was for sure and IUI was something that would bypass that problem then I would be more likely to keep trying IUIs but without knowing what the prob is to me IUIs kind of feel like shooting in the dark and throwing money down the drain). Of course IUIs are less invasive and certainly less money than IVF but for me, I just don't think I would do more than 1 (MAYBE 2).
That being said, I think we would probably also only do one round of IVF (and if we had snow babies any subsequent rounds of FET) because I just can not commit to years and years of fertility treatments due to the financial and emotional toll it would take on our family. Also because my major goal is to have a baby, not to give birth I want to make sure that whatever path we take, there is money left over to afford adoption if that becomes our only option without having to save up for that for years. We are 36 and 37 and I certainly want to be parents before we are 40.
History of IF and 2.5 years TTC. The day we were to start our first IUI we received a call that changed our lives forever and 10 month old Olivia joined our family. Shortly thereafter we got a surprise BFP and baby 2 is due July 5, 2012
