housecleaner recommendations..

Not for me, although it is something we are thinking of adding later this year. My best friend is looking for someone for her place in Hercules.

Does anyone have a recommendation? Or a website referral place to look?

I found mine by searching Yelp.  I know that's kind of an obvious answer, but I was surprised at how many businesses there were to search through as opposed to just using Google (some housecleaning businesses don't necessarily have a website).

Greenwaymaid.com is who I use. I've used them for about 5 years and I love them.

I don't know quite what their geographic range is, but we've been happy with our friends from Teamworks.  www.teamworks-cleaning.coop  They may be limited to a more South Bay - Peninsula area though.
