Hi Ladies! Quick background on me...got a BFP on 12/29. 1st beta at 13 DPO was 50, 18 DPO was 194, and 20 DPO was 233. Went in for an ultrasound today, and obviously they didn't see anything in my uterus, or in my ovaries, so they are not able to rule out an ectopic pregnancy. So, I had more bloodwork today, and if my betas decrease, then they can just allow the miscarriage to happen naturally. If not, they will be giving me a shot of methotrexate, which will apparently stop the pregnancy. Just wondering if anyone has gone through this or been given the methotrexate and what your experience is. Thanks!

Re: XP: Intro and question
I don't have any experience in this, but I just wanted to say I'm so sorry you're going through this. Even though it sucks to be here, this is a wonderful support system. I hope your levels decrease so you can start the healing process.
I had the methotrexate along with my surgery to remove my ectopic. I was not sure which symptoms (if any) were from the metho. The big thing they told me to avoid is folic acid. So no vitamins, leafy greens and other foods high in folic acid. (I personally missed OJ soooo much) This was for a week. They keep doing blood tests to watch levels to make sure they are dropping. If not they will do another injection.
I hope this helped. If you have any other questions, I'll be happy to give and info I have. I am sorry that you are having to go through this too.
Hello! I was kind of the same situation as you. They were all ready to give me the shot after my levels kept rising, but then they ran more tests at the hospital and found out that it ruptured. So I went in for the surgery and it was too big and caused too much damage so they removed my tube. Hopefully your MC is naturally, and if not, then I truly hope it does not rupture and the shot works for you!
