I loved the Moby when DS was a newborn. He's pushing 15 lbs though and starting to get a little heavy for the stretchy fabric. I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get a wrap that's a little more supportive. When I put DS in the Moby, I use the hug hold (legs out) - he really doesn't like any other holds. I think your son is the perfect size for the Moby, but like I said, once he gets around 15 lbs, you may find that it's not as comfortable anymore.
Just a hint if you use a Moby - it needs to be tighter than you might think! I always put it on pretty tight since it stretches out once DS is in it.
The moby is great for newborns and is also a great way to fond out whether or not you like wrapping. If you do like wrapping then you will want to move on up to woven wraps when you feel like you need more support. Or you could start with a woven but they are quite a bit more than the moby.

Most of the ladies here have great things to say about the moby, me included. At three months, though, I would go ahead and go for a woven wrap if you are thinking long term use or Bali baby stretch if you are going for a stretchy wrap. Even though LO is on the small side now and you can definitely get away with a moby for awhile, you can use these for much longer. They cost a bit more, but IMO it's worth the investment for something you can use for years rather than months ( woven wraps anyway).
