I want to make a woven wrap. Both of my sons love to be worn, but I need something I can use for both of them interchangeably. I love to put them on my back most of the time, but I still wear them in front also. What material should I be looking for to make my wrap from? DS#1 is 2yo and about 30lbs and DS#2 is 6 months and about 17lbs.
Thanks
Re: woven wrap ?
First I have to tell you, you're LO's are adorable! There is material that's called osnaburg (sp) that can be bought at Joanns. Here's a link that might help

There are some woven wraps on thebabywearer.com on the For Sale or Trade forum that can run sometimes around $60 or so. Not sure if you're wanting to spend that much though. I've never tried osnaburg but from my understanding a "german quality woven wrap" will be more comfortable. I think it's because of how hard and cruncy the osnaburg is. Kwinters or AliciaM might be able to answer how it feels to the touch, I think they recently bought some to practice dying. Osnaburg is pretty plain in color but it dyes up nicely from what I understand.
One thing you do want to make sure is that what ever material you buy you have enough width.
breaking in = ?
would that mean wearing it or washing it? or some other method. sorry no caps, nwt.
