What do I count as CD1?

I misscarried this week, at just about 5 weeks.  We can start trying right away, I started spotting on thursday, and it was light until today, what day counts as CD1?  it was brown on thursday, and now maroon/red.

    I am so sorry for your loss.  I think CD 1 is the 1st day of actual red flow, not just spotting.

    Ok, thanks.  I'll count today as CD1

     Some moments are harder then others.  Moving on to this cycle definitly helps though...

    In the case of a miscarriage, I was told you count the day of the miscarriage as cycle day 1, since you can bleed on and off from that day on until your HCG level reaches zero.

    For new cycles, you count the first day of red flow. 

    I could be wrong though. Hope that helps ;)
