Mauve walls in boys room?

My husband and I just bought our first house 2 months ago and painted all the rooms. Now we find out we are pregnant! The room which will be the baby's room is painted a soft muted mauve color.

We don't know the baby's gender yet but I love the color of the walls and wonder if we can keep it like that even if the baby is a boy.  Maybe with blue accents or something?

Any opinions?

Re: Mauve walls in boys room?

  • It's your decision, but I would never put my son in a "pink" room. It's not that hard to repaint a room.
  • Hummm.  I think I agree with pp.  I can't think of a good way to make mauve masculine.  Maybe look for bedding with this color in it that will blend it in and make it work.  Hopefully it will be a girl and then you won't have to worry!
