Grateful for epidural x2

Even though there's always a risk for complications with an epidural, it was a godsend in both of my deliveries.  I was able to regain my focus enough to actually participate in the delivery whereas before the epidural, I was reeling!  A good friend of mine had a totally different experience, and wishes she had skipped it.  All in all, I'm glad I didn't have a birth plan, because I would have been disappointed if things didn't go as planned.

thanks for the info.  still unsure what i'm going to do.  want pain relief, but hate to think of being stuck in bed

I wanted to go all natural with my first. But ended up with an epidural and my labor experience was awesome. With #2 same plan but ended in epidural again and was perfect. With number 3 just planned to get the epidural and it was wonderful. Now ith number 4 same plan for me
