what does s/o mean when you put it on a heading?

and what does smh mean? i've seen people post that on FB alot.

I've always thought s/o was "spin-off" or "speaking of" ... either way seems to work for post titles.  I had to look this one up, but apparently smh is "shaking my head"?  Who knew!
