Can you deregister a TAG?

I suppose I could look this up on the Leapster site...

I'm thinking of ebaying DS's.  He got it for Christmas last year and showed very limited interest in it.  And now that he's 95% reading on his own, it's collecting dust.  I came across it - and the 4 or 5 books - when I was cleaning the playroom today.  But, it definitely links to "his" Leapster website.  There's probably a way to undo that?

Maybe DD will like it sometime in the next year or so and I should hold onto it...
