Does teething & runny nose = tons of spitup?

I believe that L is teething & we are sick. He has a ton of snot (sorry) could this combination cause excessive spit up or should I suspect something else? Every time he eats he spits up soooooooo much that we both end up changing . DoEs that sound normal

  • I believe I have read that increased salivia production because of teething can cause spit up! Could be it!  Any fever or anything?

  • I think Ellie is teething BIG TIME too! She always has been somewhat of a happy spitter so I don't know if I can tell a difference in that.  But she is gagging herself a lot b/c she is hewing so hard on her fingers!!  I hope your LO feels better!

The snot in particular make DS increase his spitting up exponentially. He's already a spitter, but a cold definitely makes it worse. And I'm sure teething does too.
