Wow, that's tough. I think Ruby Catherine has a touch better flow, but I love the look of Ruby Caroline. I tried to look up name days in July to see if there were any for either, and nada.

This is stupid and shouldn't have any reason to be a factor, but I'm going to vote for Ruby Caroline because it has all five vowels in it.

I love, love, LOVE the name Ruby by the way. Everytime I hear it I like it more

ETA: I voted for Ruby Catherine, but I like the above suggestion of Ruby Clara better.

we do that too. DH is set on a name right now. I'm still being wishy washy. I like talking about baby names, thinking about combos ... I'm only 21 weeks; I'm not ready to commit!!

I like Ruby Caroline and Ruby Catherine. They both sound great and I don't think you can go wrong with either. My great-aunt is named Ruby and I love that it's coming back! I think it's really cute.

I love Ruby Caroline. Ruby Catherine is pretty, but since Catherine is usually pronounced as two syllables, you'd have three two-syllable names in a row, which doesn't flow well to me. I love the name Violet, too, but with the two-syllables, stress on the first syllable, and the same "i" sound, it's a little too rhymey with Simon. HTH!
