Hi! I was at Roosevelt for my IUIs w/ Dr. Stein. I liked him a lot but changed insurance so I switched to Cornell.
I don't know that it's that Cornell is behind the times w/ not having CGH or they haven't gotten it b/c they're not convinced it increases live-birth rates. They almost exclusively use embryo screening for people who have dx genetic issues they're looking for. I asked my RE about it and he said they're concerned w/ a) mosacism both on day 3 and day 5 being about 10% b) freezing and thawing when it's done on day 5 damaging the embryos and c) the actual procedure damaging the embryos. However, CCRM and SIRM are huge proponents of CGH, so it seems to depend on who you ask.
Who knows who to believe!

Re: *margarita7*
I agree----it seems like there are constant changes to what they are doing/how they are doing it, etc. I'm almost afraid to do CGH, because what if they tell me that we have NO normal embryos??? Also, our first pregnancy had a totally normal chromosome workup---but was doomed with a whole batch of other issues that proved to be fatal. So that kind of stuff wouldn't come up with CGH...*sigh*...it seems like an endless search to figure out the magic potion that will make this happen. We are determined to keep trying, but there are days when it wears me down so much that I wonder how long we can keep at it.
It might annoy you to hear success stories, but both my girlfriends who were with Keltz/Stein crossed over to Cornell and both got pregnant eventually---one even naturally after having a miscarriage with a Cornell IVF! They are much older than us, but whatever it is, Cornell had the magic!
When is your next round going to be? Are you with Spandorfer? That's who both of my friends had....
