Cold Treatments....

DS has been at daycare exactly 4 days and he's on his second illness. DH and I agreed that if he was sick 3 times, we'd be looking for different arrangements.

But, back to the issue at hand. He's got a terrible cold. Cough, runny nose, etc. I gave him a warm bath and now he's got a humidifier next to the crib...what can I do to help him feel better?

Our doctor just recommended using saline solution in her nose and then using the blue bulb syringe to pull out the mucous.  DD hates it, but it helps her sleep!   I hope your LO feels better soon!

A mix of eucalyptus oil, lavender, and rosemary will help calm the cough you can mix it yourself with olive oil, or BRU sells this which works well for Grace.  https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4408629 

Also if you have a vicks humidier, they make vaporpads with the same scents that work too.

Also, keeping the baby propped up during the day as much as possible so the congestion drains down. Somethng like the FP Rock and Play sleeper is perfect.
