I have a new, never used knitted newborn "cocoon" with a matching hat that is used for photography pics. Or I guess you could use it as a tiny sleeping bag! It is cream and purple.

My sister bought this for us when DD was a newborn but it arrived after we had her newborn photos taken, so we didn't get a chance to use it. I am expecting again but this one is a boy, so we don't need this!

The cocoon measures 17 in x 11 in and is roomy. The matching hat is pretty tiny and would ONLY fit a fresh newborn. I think by the time it arrived at our house it was already too small for DD (and she was 10-12 days old!). The hat doesn't have any stretch to it. The cocoon however does and I suspect a larger/older baby could fit into it as well.
