Our DD will be close to 20 months old when our DS is due. Our DD was the first girl on my DH's side of the family in 54 years. So most of what we got (clothing wise) was completely girly. We did get gender neutral big stuff like the pnp, car seat, etc. But for those with boys- was there something that you couldn't have lived without that those with girls wouldn't have needed, like a pee pee teepee (or however it's spelled)? Anything that is a must have for boys?
Re: Separate Gender Question- Mom's with boys
Nah. David isn't a shotgun pee-er, and even if he were, that silly tee-pee thing wouldn't work anyway - I can picture it flying across the room with the force of the pee!
Tee hee, I think the pee pee teepees are hilarious, but we never had one. Just kept the diaper folded up there for as much of the diaper change as possible. Boy tip: point the penis down just before securing the diaper to minimize leaks in those tiny newborn diapers. I wish somebody had told us that on day 1.
If you're planning to circ, a tub o' vaseline.
This. Although, I preferred the tubes of vaseline to the tub. You can squirt it from the tube right onto the penis. None on your hands, and you don't have to touch the delicate area with your fingers.
hehe, pee pee teepee's make me laugh - totally unnecessary. I can't really think of anything that a girl wouldn't also need except for some non-girly clothes, of course
ETA: if you're still on the fence via circ, I love this post (thanks erinkate for writing it!)

It's this cup shaped thing that fits over the penis while you change little boys so you don't get sprayed or pee'd on while changing their diaper.
OMG the things they come up with. I'm leaving this one alone lol
I just cover him with a wash cloth! I don't have a girl to compare to, but I also don't think I use anything special.
I bought a big tub of vaseline but I only used the tube from the hospital. I do always cover him with a wet wash cloth during bath time. Especially as a newborn, he peed on us in the bath.

I've always wondered about this! My DS has never had the pee thing happen, and I was totally prepared for it! We let him have "naked time" during diaper changes because he literally *never* pees without his diaper on.
