Beta #2

Posting and running because I am not supposed to be on here at work....

I just got my second beta number and I am not sure what to make of it. It was 529 (my first on Monday was 301) so it did not double which I had hoped for but my nurse had said they wanted to see a rise of 65% or more and that would be a 76% rise but I just can't be excited about it. I am a nervous wreck. They said I don't need to come in for a third beta just to schedule an ultrasound on the 14th - I don't know what I'll do till then...any advice???

Your nurse is right. They like to see the number double within 48-72 hours, and you are well within that. Try not to worry, hon. Good luck at your ultrasound!

I would take your nurse's advice! Relax and enjoy this time because you are pregnant hun!

Your nurse is right! I dont post on here too much anymore I lurk. My husband and I were recently blessed with our IVF miracle! My betas were the same way they rose by 65% try not to worry(i know i know) Enjoy you are pregnant momma! Good Luck

Thanks for the replies ladies and especially for the encouragement.  I guess I just feel like I am waiting for the other shoe to drop but for now I will just try to enjoy it.

I emailed my nurse and she said I can go in for a third beta so hopefully that will ease my mind a bit.

If they aren't worried about doing a 3rd beta  you shouldn't be! Good luck at your first u/s hun!
